itsjustagreat1 Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Ok, I put on my CPI's today, and am jetting my bike. I am jetted up to 470 mains and am still a little lean. (Bike is ported with stock carbs) I don't have access to any bigger jets right now. My question is what size drill bits do I need to use for the following jet sizes? 460, 480, 490, 500, 510 mikuni hex jets? Thanks Quote

FIRST BANSHEE Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 CPI's and a ported engine, your stock carbs are holding you back, even jetted right it's not going to let the engine rev out. you could get the bit that fits the 470 jet and buy the next few bit sizes. Quote
roosthrower Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 I believe the biggest mikuni hex jet available is a 500. I'd say look for some carbs. I picked up a set of 34mm mikuni vm's off ebay for $60. The best thing about them is that I can use the same mains from the stock carbs with the new 34's. Quote
