turbowrenchhead Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) My 25 year old fenders are sagging. The rear shock isn't set up right either and I'm not getting the stance I want. I tried shortening the rear shock link. That gave me a little better stance. I still wasn't happy with the way it looks. So I came up with this..... Edited August 29, 2013 by turbowrenchhead Quote
turbowrenchhead Posted August 29, 2013 Author Report Posted August 29, 2013 so what made it not sag exactly I made two fender stays. One for each side. I took 1/8" thick by 1" wide steel flat stock and bent it up to go from the frame to the corner of the fender. Quote

Free yellow banshee Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 they have sold brackets for years for this. Can you post a link of who sells them? Quote
turbowrenchhead Posted August 29, 2013 Author Report Posted August 29, 2013 I like the look that it has. To each his own. Quote
Free yellow banshee Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 Could just go to a hardware store and buy some aluminum flat bar for $5, cut and bend how you want it. Drill two holes and your good. I personally think you bent yours too far up... But whatever, it's your bike! I have aluminum stock here at work. I'm going to make some. Quote
Glenyboy Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 I used two L brackets and bolted the short sections together, they just happened to be the perfect size. I'll post a pic when I get in from work. Quote
sprinklerman Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 I just took a heat gun, heated up the plastic, then bent it upward and let cool. This ^^ Quote
