Phelps Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 holycraptonoffuel batman. why not just drill some? figure as big into this sport as you're you would have some jet bits.... Quote
wheredahoesatracing Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 Yea I have the drill bits for mains just never heard of anyone drilling pilots. I ordered 70s today from fast but he didn't have 72s Quote
J-Madd Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Are you running nitromethane? 60 pilots (and some orifices drilled) are the most you need to do to pwks in the pilot circuit for alky. Quote
wheredahoesatracing Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 Tell that to my lean motor it will disagree with you. I have68s in them now and bigred350x set them up for a 4mil twister Quote
J-Madd Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 What's the size of the pilot jet orifice? If its not as big as the jet you're putting in a bigger jet may not help. If you check it let me know, because I don't remember. I know a guy that drills the pilots out something huge, but it makes them hard as hell to clean out. Is it lean hanging at idle? I've gotten away from PWKs and went to Lectrons on most motors. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 I would be looking into an air leak if it needs that big of a pilot... Hell my 10dm only has a 55 in it... Sure ya got the slides low enough so that your actually using the pilot circuit and no drawing off the main/needle circuit? What needle are you running? What size main and dump? Quote
wheredahoesatracing Posted May 24, 2013 Author Report Posted May 24, 2013 120 main I will check the needle leakdown test was perfect Quote
