apeik Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 So is there a replacement plug boot that doesnt use the metal nipple on the top of the spark plug that anyone know's of? My ngk boots are about a season old, but they've always carbonized the nipple on top of the spark plug and it's getting old. My line of thinking is if it snaps down the threaded area on the top of the spark plug that it will have a better connection. Any opinions are appriciated. -Aaron Quote
apeik Posted November 1, 2010 Author Report Posted November 1, 2010 Ok, so it's NGK part LB05F, for the plug boot that snaps straight on the plug threads. Is there a reason people dont run these or a reason i should'nt run them? Quote
apeik Posted November 2, 2010 Author Report Posted November 2, 2010 no one? someone's gotta have expierence with this. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Maybe nipple isn't threaded on standard NGK plug? To early and too lazy to go look ,I'll leave that up to you. Are + & - wires on coil correctly? Quote
FASTOYS Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 We have had great luck with these: http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=114 Also make sure to tighten the cap on top of spark plug and slightly crimp it with dikes (diagonal cutters). Quote
