Nutwood 472 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Seen some billet carb bowl extensions on ebay, since the pilot and main jet and the float only come down so far for the bowls the carbs come with, how extending the bowls down farther help the main and pilot get to the gas,I can see if you got wider bowls at the same depth of the stock bowls are at would benifit more on getting to the fuel, but extending them down farther,I dont see how it would benifit,if you cant suck the fuel up,Am thinking this is a waste of money and some body trying to make a buck, just like the boost bottle, lol or do I have it all wrong? sleeper06 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 The billet bowls I have on four diffrent machines, dont extend down much but are wider in areas needed If your on alky get-em or if you run long distance.I run the 1/4 and my motor on 39mm pwks will suck the bowls dry Quote

Good job, you saw the same issue I saw. Bowls need to be wider, not lower. Wouldnt matter if you have a gallon of gas below the jet, if it cant reach it. They wouldnt hurt, and best case may splash into the jet, but its a shortcut cheapy way out. The guy that made them will make a lil money before people figure out theyu are pointless, but then again....look at boost bottles surviving Quote
