WayBackWhen Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 So I plan on cutting my front fenders here soon, I also plan on painting my plastics, but I need some opinions. Should i do just black paint, or should i use the spray on truck bed liner? I think the liner would look cool, and be durable as hell! Also what paint is reccomended for the frame metal? I have some rust issues i need to take care of. Quote
laketappsbanshee Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 I used Krylon for Plastic Paint. The grey that I chose is a matte finish and actually is the similar texture to bed liner. It looks pretty good and even has a little bit of metal flake in it as well. I have been really happy with it and would recomend it! Quote
makemefaster Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 about the bed liner, we spray them at my work and it really does not stick to any surface very well even when sanded with 80 or 36 grit sanders. if you really want to do it i would suggest 36 grit , a good plastic prep from a auto paint supply and only put one coat on so it is lighter and more flexible. Good luck with it and if you do it post some pics. Quote
WayBackWhen Posted November 14, 2009 Author Report Posted November 14, 2009 i think im going to go with krylon, black, and cut my front fenders, spray the rusty areas outta my frame with silver metals paint, and that should be it......now about the money situation lol Quote
