New porting

So I redid my girlfriends bike this past winter.

She likes Paul turner pipes so I wanted to use them. I actually liked how they made the bike for a 100lbs girl and it was extremly manageable. I saw an awesome dyno chart with a damn near perfect curve between the tq and hp. Was a ported motor with Paul Turners. It was DDQ's motor.

So I found out where this motor was built. Luckily it was a active member on the forum. Surfrjag (justin)

I got in contact with justin and got his number. He's a genuinely nice guy at first. He asked me all the questions that any shop would ask. We went over what I was looking for and all the details.

I sent him the cylinders, he checked them all out got them bored and ported within like 2 weeks with pistons. He said if I want to make any changes he'll take care of them free of charge. I also had to wait to pay him because this was all right around Christmas time. He said let him know when he can ship them.

Well I just got a real ride in today. And man is this like no other bike I've ridden. The power is instant. The tq just pulls head back. I am extremly impressed with this motor.

-stock stroke welded crank

-surf port

-PT high revs

-Hinson basket

-tusk clutch

-redline pro mod

-cool head 21cc domes

-stock carbs with pods

I am still in contact with justin to this day. I hope he or DDQ can post up that dyno I'm talking about.

But anyone looking for a great port at a great price and a great turn around time hit up justin.

Agree, no disappointments with this guys work, communication and knowledge of banshee's. Not knowing Justin, he posted in a thread of mine where i had broke a motor and offered to help get me going again for an upcoming ride. Once I got my motor back together, it ran strong!! I was very happy. i ran the motor all last year, then tore it down only to up grade to a cub. I will be keeping surf's ported cylinders for a back up engine. Fortunately I have met Justin a few times since and when i need cylinders ported, they will be going to him. I tell peeps I got SRJ port job. They're like WHO?  lol

Surf, if you want some, be at Busco in May. bwa-haaa

looks like a pt mid motor.  falls off at 8k...

BUT  if you want a fun rideable motor  these are great.  t6's can do this also.  but i dont think fall off as hard on the top end.

i mean most 2 stroke pipes have a 2k power range.  if you start looking for these in graphs you will see them pretty easily.  then you can match the porting to whatever the pipe likes the most  OR port out of the range of the pipe and have a total mess.  i see this a lot..

wait a minute..  those graphs are showing 48-49 hp..   thats horrible.. those look like just a stocker with a set of phhiaps on it..

are you challenging surf to a mx port build off? since youre scattin` all over his work while he sleeps

i guess i can elaborate some by showing an example of another dyno pull from a yfz450 with full pipe, intake, and power comander. this should be a better curve for mx style right? only has 40hp on my dyno.. up from 32 before the tune. as you can see though the curve got better after adding some fuel.

thanks for the h8 post cam. lol

if numbers were what i was chasing i bet vforce reeds and some slicks on the dyno would help.

for anyone who knows the intent of a dyno, its to show tune and power delivery changes.

I will be the first to tell you that the peak numbers are not impressive but i wanted to see a curve like that from a banshee. and we did!
