draggins10
Just switched my stock carbs for mikuni 28mm flat slides. As suggested I tried out 300 main jets, 30 pilot jets and 2nd clip on the needle. The best I got it running was with the idle screws 2 turns out and the air/fuel screws fully turned in, and it was still breaking up in the low to mid range but it seemed to pull fine up top. Where do you guys think I should go from here with jetting?

sleeper06
How does is idle? Could be a sync issue ,usually low to mid breakup is the pilot to needle transition try needle adjustments go richer one clip at at time? The fact that your air screws are all the way in tells me you need a bigger pilot? Are you sure there are no air leaks
draggins10
It idles fine. I don't think there is an air leak because it ran fine before I changed the carbs. So to go richer on the needle I move it down one groove right?
