4mil cub timing to get most power?

I have a full k&t 421 cub drag banshee ... k&t shearer pipes straight cuts billet basket over ride 39mm keihin on race gas cool head and stock ignition.. looking to see what is the best setting is... had a pvl on at 100degrees ran a. 6.2 to 6.3 at97to 98mph. Put stock igniton on at 8 and ran 6.2to 6.3 at low 92 to mid 95...

I took pvl off because of the bogg off the line and put the stock igniton on to get the torque off the line and I seemed to loose mph pretty bad I was wonder what I should set it on for the stock ign not pvl.... I was told up to 10 and 12... but 12 seems crazy..I didn't no what the ratio was from stock to pvl.. .and I apologize if you answered it.

It's about a 16degree swing from max timing. Starts at 0, goes to plus 8, then drops to minus 8.

 

An OEM cdi curve isn't far from that, goes from like ..plus 8 to plus 20ish and back. And they aren't all exactly the same. Varies from box to box.

 

You'll need a dial and degree wheel to compare the two
