1CrazyBastard Posted September 4, 2012 Report Share Posted September 4, 2012 Can somebody tell me if this is the proper way/ place to measure on the inside edge of the carb where the bowl contacts to set / measure the Float level I found this pic after some searching but wanna confirm that its correct and 21mm is the correct spec ?? Starwriter Posted September 4, 2012 Report Share Posted September 4, 2012 Yes, thats the correct place to measure, but you need to hold it sideways so that it doesn't compress the spring loaded needle. Tip it sideways with the float pivot pin at the top. Tilt the carb till the float just bumps against the needle. Not sure on spec. Don't have my Clymer here with me. Yeah kinda figured as the gasket is a few mm itself and yes my floats were off a few mm as I wasnt sure about the spring loaded needles and compressing them or not i have got it running pretty good and the floats are at 21mm now Thanks !!
