Tebow to Jets

SO the Jets picked up Tebow. Good move or not? 1 mediocre QB (dirty sanchez) and 1 not so good QB (Tebow) but he has proven that he is a winner if put in the right offensive scheme. I say put Timmay at wide out and have fun with him. Hell, he would do good at FB and would run a great wild cat type offense. Gonna be interesting.

I don't know if his Quarterbacking talent is on an NFL level. (You can't argue that he didn't do well last year, but his arm didn't seem to be the reason.)

But I'll say this.....many will hate on his religious focus (I don't see that as an issue, I've seen player for YEARS thank God for every touchdown) but I would sure like to see more of the top players in EVERY sport conduct themselves with the level headed class that he did. His team rallied around his leadership, and you never saw him blame a single teammate for anything. When you KNOW your quarterback is going to take all the blame and not throw you under the bus for every dropped ball..... I think you can see what that does for team unity. The world thought that Tebow was a 3 rate player, but his team got stronger with him as a leader, because if he has no other skill.......he DOES know how to lead.

It will be interesting to see how the team dynamic shapes up with him on the Jets. I don't know if he'll be successful as a quarterback with the Jets, but I expect he'll continue to act with the same level of class even if he rides the bench all season and is cut.

Didnt do well last year? Won 7 games, led his team into the playoffs, had several game winning drives, was he great? Nope! Was he a decent up and coming YOUNG talent? YES!! The Broncos are MORONS!!! Granted Manning is one of the best to EVER play the game, but hes OLD, has on going injuries, and by rights dont have alot of time left in him. WHEN (not if) he goes down with injury they are fucked! I cant believe they put all of their eggs in one basket like this, but to each their own. I for one am a 49er fan #1 and a Jets fan #2.... I think this is a great addition to the team in both a moral and leadership stance.

I agree with n20. He needs time to develop and LEARN. I would have kept tebow as 2nd string.. Who would be better to learn from then manning. Good move for Jets.. Bad move for broncos. Tebow has shown he can throw the ball when given the chance. He just needs better off season coaching. The only reason manning went to the broncos is he'll have A LOT of excuses if he dont win. he dont have anywhere near the options as he did in IND. If he would have went to the 49'ers.. they would be no excuses. Moss, Crabtree, Davis, Gore.. ect..

ooops. I put a double negative in there.

I ment to say that he did well, but it wasn't his arm that was the featured item. His running took the defense off guard even when they knew it might happen, but I think his leadership let his fellow players relax and trust him. The trouble is his contract is so steep, that it's hard to pay him to develop while also paying a first string guy to be there at the same time. Cap issues are a motivating factor here.

I think he will do well with the Jets depending on his development. But mostly, I think he'll be a good leader even if he's the second string guy and rides the bench.

He's not going to be vocal in the press and cause a quarterback controversy. He'll still have that same class.

its not about the cap.. Tebow signed a 5yr 11.25 mil rookie contract. he was only set to make 1.1mil in 12' and 6mil in 13' compare that to the 40mil ext. that Sanchez just got with 20mil guaranteed. Tebow was making peanuts. there is many 2nd string qb's making more then tebow. Drew Stanton will make more then Tebow in 12' Fox and Elway never wanted him..

So he's supposedly been working all offseason on the throwing motion and his footwork(his biggest problem). I think he is a good player, first and foremost I think Tim is a football player not a prototypical suck-dick QB. Personally I think with Ryan's affinity to run it, I think Sanchez is effed. Let Tim fix that foot work and let him learn an offense and it'll be on like donkey kong. His biggest problem is he needs to be THE guy and so far he only gets to be that for a short time. The Broncos just found an opportunity to get one of the best ever, that doesnt change the fact that Tebow is going to be better but having to learn a new offense is another set back that he is going to have to deal with.

Sorry guys...TBow is going to do nothing in the NFL..you heard me say it.

Anyone that thinks he put the Broncos on the win streak is overlooking the most simple thing. Their Defense.

Tbow wasn't that lucky against a pretty good Detroit Lions D, and he got clowned.

The only thing TBow is going to do is push Dirty Sanchez. When lazy ass Dirty Sanchez realizes TBow is not a threat to start, rather a 2nd or 3rd stringer that might run a few wild cat plays, Sanchez will go back to being lazy and a nothing.

Mark my words, Sanchez will play great the first 2-3 games of the year, then he'll just fade to mediocrity.
