Rear brake caliper leaking

Recommended Posts

I loaded my Banshee on my truck yesterday morning to meet up with some guys to do some riding. I notice the rear caliper is wet. When I press the pedal the caliper squirts fluid out from the e-break block off cover. Never seen this happen before. Would bad piston seals cause this? Really bummed me out, but I still made the 2.5 hour trip and rode the shit outta it with no rear breaks.

The block off is a piece of steel plate the previous owner made with a home made gasket. Looks like he cut off the nub on the end of the piston to make it work. Should there be fluid in the block off area? I've been riding it this was for over a year with no problems until yesterday.
