liljake Posted April 15, 2016 Report Share Posted April 15, 2016 Just bought a set of DMC 916 and i need a spark arrestor but i absolutely haaatte the one that they make for it the (2k silencer) they call it, i hate the plates and the way they look there just hidious. so im looking for one of those USFS approved screens that you put in the silencer but cant seem to find anything so if anyone can find or know of somthing for these pipes that be awesome Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jbooker82 Posted April 15, 2016 Report Share Posted April 15, 2016 It may look bad but it will flow better than screens. Jamming a screen in the end of the core isn't very good for performance. A screen spark arrestor needs surface area so it doesn't restrict flow as bad. Then when you mix in 2 stroke oil with a little packing they plug up.
