Product Description

After 2 years of research and development, we came up with this nice RPM gauge with 2 temperatures output with optional air/fuel ratio function : the G2 Revolution Meter. The RPM large digits and the REV indicator bar make’s it easy to read at high speed. The REV indicator bars can be program for 10 000, 15 000 or 20 000 RPM to make it fi t on all type of engines. Other than its RPM and temperature function, this gauge also features the voltage, clock and an optional air/fuel ratio output. The programmable shift light and 2 temperature warning light will help you to easily monitor your engine. Its shape and functions make it the perfect race tool!

Digital tachometer Display range: 0~20000 RPM
Display unit: 10 RPM Tachometer level (60 segment bar graph) Display range: 0~10 000 / 15 000 / 20 000 RPMDisplay range: 0~10 000 RPM
Display unit: 166 RPM for each segment

^ This is somewhat correct. We have been pretty successful with them in the sleds, but they are oil injected so there is FAR less oil getting on the sensors. IMO you will struggle to keep them working on a premix application. I know the guys that dyno with an AFR sensor are buying probes on a regular basis. The Bosch sensors are an OEM Cadillac part and are I think 160 or 180 dollars. I've heard that some guys have crossed them over to something cheaper but I've never tried one.

Why do you need/want an AFR gauge?

should i jsut go with a egt guage intstead of afr, and the reason i want one is for help with tuning and to keep an eye on what the engine is doing

In my experience with 2 strokes and AFR gauges you will still have to tune the plugs to get your baseline. All that I've owned and been around operated at different numbers. You will be able to tune back to the number you decide is correct but unless you're riding in big swings of altitude or temperature change once it's jetted correct the tuneup doesn't change. And again those sensors will not stand up long term.

Short story.......... this is a waste of money!

Most all the guys I know that got egt gauges ended up burning motors up within a year. Honestly the best advice you can be given is to tune correctly either with plug chops or on a dyno with and AFR gauge and you are good. The gauges are a terrific idea and would be terrific if they worked perfectly but they do not due to numerous factors. My 10 mil would probably read just fine and low egts even with piston burning temps.
